Pointed Skirt 3B

Just finished this saddle today.It is a 16"seat 3b,5 x 11" cantle,no.5 dally horn,3/4 flate plate rigged,with pointed shirts.Creased a double line around the borders.post-11588-038695000 1281573189_thumb.jp

I really like that saddle. Your lines are perfect, and its amazing to me that you can have that much untooled leather without a scratch or blemish on it. Your experience shows, and that should make somebody a hell of a nice rig.

Saddle looks great Steve! Loopinluke is right....you did a great job of keeping everything looking clean. What did you use for oil and what kind of finish did you use? Bobby

Bob,I used olive oil and sunshine,followed by a coat of Neatlac

Tell me please- HOW do you make your double creases?!!! What tool do you use . I have an adjustable creaser(cheap Tandy with a screw adjustment) . Do you have to bevel each side?

Pete ,I cut the border with a swivel knife and then crease it with a Beader.On this saddle I beveled the crease with a cheakered beveler.

Hi Steve,

Missed this post until tonight.

I like it alot! If you do not mind me asking, what is the difference between a 3b and a Weatherly - I look at both and to me they look the same.

I looked at this saddle a few days ago and couldn't come up with words to express my feelings.

so I'll just say, HOLY MOLY , :clapping: I LIKE THAT SADDLE!!
