Leather Covered Pvc Quiver?

Recommended Posts

I am going to be making an archery set for my daughter for Christmas. My thought for a quiver for her (for target arrows, not hunting) would be to take a piece of say 3" pvc pipe, cut a wood plug to seal the bottom and wrap it in leather. This would be for durability as well as safety. (she can be accident prone like her mom ) Anybody have any ideas or comments on this. I have done knife sheaths before but never anything in the archery field. Thanks

That should work with no problem. Reduced to it's lowest common denominator a quiver is a tube with a bottom. Covering it with leather is a nice touch.

A wee bit of a late reply, but PVC is VERY mouldable when heated, (heat gun) so instead of a round tube quiver, just heat until limp (do not scorch) then press down to desired shape with a board on top. You can then cover with very light leather to reduce weight. You can even make quite impressive bows from PVC pipe.
