  1. shucks, i reckon i did pull a dummy...LOL,,,Bob,,,,i'm referring to a shoulder holster system picture in the Gallery.. I don't know how to post pics but i can point you to the particuylar pic i'm talking about...in your Gallery, Bob,,,the shoulder holster system i'm talking about is the second pic on the second row,,,and again, i really like your work Lee
  2. Bob... I absolutely love your work....excellent everything.... I gotta ask you Bob, did you see me with my coat off at some point in the past 30 years?.... Quick back story.. .I was a bodyguard for many many years, since 1983, till 2001...it ain't the age..it's the miles....at any rate...I carried my Browning Hi-Power in a JackAss (now Galco) in a horizonal hang shoulder holster and absolutely hated the magazine pouch, dropping the mags straight down took a couple of mili-seconds longer to reload than i liked....so...around 86 or so, i went to a leatherworker in ForestPark, Georgia for a solution...and we came up with a horizonal hang double mag pouch almost exactly like yours... In fact Bob, yours is only the second one i've ever seen, very nice work Sir....I honestly hope you sell a million of those pouches...i always had a retention problem with mine, very minute really, i mean mags weren't falling out but they would begin to slide after wearing the set up for the day...my fix was simple...i used string wrapped around the pouch to tighten the leather on the mag...worked like a charm...i've still got that old pouch around here somewhere, when i put hands on it, i'll shoot you a pic... Sorry to be so long winded...very proud to see your work...Good Luck Sir God Bless Lee shooter_250

  4. Chuck I have been an admirer of your work for several years, since i ran across the Wild Rose site. Jealous...envious...proud to be a member of the same forum as you...these are words that describe me concerning your work...OUTSTANDING. i do have a question...wouldn't those chains rattle a might when hunting or for that matter re-enacting? Thanks for your time... God Bless Lee
  5. SOSHorses... beautiful work....i still miss Waylon...don't much care for nelson... at any rate...flat holes?...i make a lot of stuff either using a revolving punch or a hand held round punch...i'd be interested in learning about "flat holes"...if you have the time Thanks God Bless Lee
  6. Glad to be of help...good luck and God Bless Lee P.S......inexpensive....not cheap....LMAO
  7. ok...here it is,,,the website of my leather supplier...i've used them for years and years and had nothing but the best in customer service shipping and product....they are just good folks.... http://www.leatherunltd.com/ .....enjoy Lee
  8. Wow..lot of good ideas...i 'spect i'll be contemplating on this for a bit longer...i have 7 or 8 old heavy plastic milk crates for the smaller pieces, probably roll several pieces and hang a bunch..now to re-arrange the work area...i'll take pics..before and after..gonna take awhile to get done tho since it'll just be me doing it...still haven't figured out how to store the buff hide... Bad Hide...i like your idea of "use it up"...LOL wish i could...honestly,,,after all is said and done...i maybe am able to log in a total of an hour a day,,,that's max...that doesn't count hunting and gathering materials and tools...sometimes i can't even make the hour...uh oh sounds like i'm beginning to whine done for now...thanks for all the responses, i truly appreciate the conversation as it were... God Bless you all Lee
  9. i have boo coo leather strips,,,various widths...email me and let me know exactly what size you need,,,if i can help...i wll
  10. Mornin Folks... i'm wide awake and looking around my room...yep, a whole room to myself and it's not a bedroom...LOL....anyway,,,i'm looking around my room,,,i see some leather on shelves,,,,i see tools and tool boxs and i see cardboard boxs, lots of them, each one full of leather pieces,,,,i can't afford full hides, so i buy scrap....i get some great deals, the pieces are different thicknesses as well as different sizes,,,most are 2 - 5 sq ft... How can i store these pieces in such a way, i can get an idea of what's what...i know basically what i've purchased and that it's in a box,,,the problem is being physically able to get to the pieces without wearing myself out and hurting myself too much to work with the leather once i've found what i need....without great elaboration...i have major back probs,,,MAJOR....as an example of how bad,,,my Doc informed me at my last VA visit...i am provided with the most pain medicine of any patient at the Biloxi VA...a dubious honor i assure you...i'm in bad shape...no sympathy, just sayin'....my thoughts would be to be able to store things out in the open so "at a glance" they are available... do y'all get my point?...any thoughts, ideas?... sorry to ramble so very much,,,i hope this is in the right place....thank y'all for listening God Bless Lee
  11. Hello Bob... Thanks for the welcome...i appreciate it very much.. .as far as the VA goes...the VA in Biloxi, Miss is the VA to which all others should be held to the standard of...excellent service,,, friendly, kind folks,,,,excelent care by caring people,,,,,,,i have only 2 complaints...there's a damn starbucks on the second floor and the coffee in the vending machines costs way too much, buck forty for a paper cup of tepid brown water, oh almost forgot,,with sweetener.... to be completely honest,,,arthir keeps me from doing much complicated work,,, i also appreciate the offers of help,,,i sure do need help LOL,,know any good head docs??... God Bless you Bob, Thanks again Lee I learned all i need to know about islam on 9/11 Shoot low boys, their ridin' shetland ponys
