  1. I have a question, a friend of us came with this seat. I never done anything like this before main is solo seats and belts. Guess this is more like a upholstery kind of thing. He would like to have 2 skull's on the top tooled with some basketweave. Do I have to use thin leather for the sides, because I think when 2 persons sit on it maybe the entire thing sinks to the bottom . Can I use thick leather on the top and thin leather on the sides? He would like to have also lacing to adjust the skull tooled parts to the sides. The bottom of it is with staples, but should I put the thing together first and then pull it over the seat, like some kind of cover or do I have to attach it somehow to the foam and lace it then. The big sofa is staring for me for a while now but I can't figure out how to make a start. Because it is the first time I make it for free but I don't want to damage the seat. Thanks, Nadine

  3. Finaly I have it working now, but it makes a long mark beside the stitches. I hope anyone can help me with a solution, maybe a other foot. I love this machine and the stitches look nice. I want to stitch bike seats with it.

  9. http://www.hammerinhandcycles.com I bought a kit from them recently. It is a beautiful complete kit. I live in Holland and order more from the US, leather things, carparts and more but I realy was surprised of the good quality of this kit. The pan is beautiful, the leather is beautiful Hermann Oak, and you can mail them or call them for questions. It comes with a DVD, stamps, kangaroolace, dye.

  12. Hi Martin, Last week I was in Belgium at this store: http://www.dierenhuiden.be/index.php?action=home〈=NL I saw a lot of exotic leather there, fish, ostrich and crocodile to.
  13. Never saw it here in Holland of that brand, butI did make some liquid glycerine soap myself for burning the edges of the leather. Somewhere here I read it works better then tragant. It is simple, same weight soap and same weight distilled water, just grate the soap or cut very small pieces, let it soak overnight and then stir it gently, then you can put essential oils in or some Listirine. Listirine works great because of it's essential oils it works like a preservative and protect against fungus and molds, I just use the glycerine soap the same as I use for soapmaking also a hobby. You even can wash your hands with it.
