Tooled Strap With Double Loop Stitch

Recommended Posts

Here is a strap I did using a Craftaid pattern for tooling, really liked how it turned out.

I like the saddle tan dye color. I might do the strap again and hand stitch the linning this time as I also like the look of the strap before I did the leather lace. Can you guys spot my initials in the patern on the end of the strap?

Thanks Wyoming…….

It is about 30 hours of my life in that strap, the double loop stitch run is about 8 feet long(that was fun times).

I have made to order 5 straps for people and I can't imagine what I would charge if someone wanted me to make them this one.

The strap is a work of art, very nicely done.

Thanks guys.

I get a lot of positive feedback from friends and family, it is nice to get it from total strangers who are familiar with leather work. I will post some more soon. I just don't want to monopolize this topic, so I am spacing it out:)

WOW, that's some good work

I'm trying to understand The small piece that is sewed to the adjustment strap,

does it hide rivets? Or is sewed it through all 3 layers ? How do you attach it

Thanx

The strap is riveted on with two rivets and then sewn through all three layers, it is purely for looks. The linning is glued on then the lacing marathon;)
