Making 3D type duty holsters

Hi,

I have a question on duty type holsters. Ive attached some pics of what I am talking about. I am curious if a guy could make stuff like this with a traditional lock stitch machine.

I cant get my head around these designs? Am I missing something?

Hey Eric, are you wanting to make the accessories that you are showing in the pics or the duty holster itself? i have made a few duty holsters and have used my Cobra class 3 machine which does an outstanding job. i see some of the pics you are showing of the accessories. they may pose a problem with a traditional machine on the edges. maybe someone else knows more about using the machine for that.....i'm not that good yet lol.

Thanks Tony, Yes I was referring to the accessories mainly the mace type holder. I couldn't figure out how they stitched it in a 3d type piece like that. Ill check out your work on that other site. Thanks

thanks Eric. yeah, i wouldn't know how to stitch that other stuff with the cylinder arm machine that i have....i would probably have to do it by hand.

The machine that is used for sewing such pieces as shown operates at approx. 45-degree angle. I think they are also used in some shoe-making applications.

Each piece of leather must be pre-formed to the precise contour needed, then assembled and sewn. The handcuff case shown is a good example of leather formed in a press.

Great! another machine to have to buy.... my wife ain't gonna be happy. lol
