  1. Thanks guys! Steve: I am happy to learn which needle system the 205-8 uses. I will pick up some needles tomorrow and see how this machine sews. I downloaded all the Adler 205 related documents from the Duerkopp-Adler sites, and so I already have the manual you mentioned. I appreciate the offer to share yours. Bob: I've sent you my email address. I appreciate your assistance very much as well. The 205-8 appears to be one of the first variants in the popular Adler 205 series. While it has many parts in common with the other machines in its family, it seems to be unique. Even if I can't just add a few parts and transform it into a 205-370, a choice of presser feet and feed dogs would be nice.
  2. Does any one know where I can find a parts list, manual, brochure, or any other information on the Adler 205-8? I’ve searched the internet, including the Dürkopp Adler site in the USA and Germany, and can find very little. I recently acquired a 205-8 in great condition, but it came without a needle, and I don’t even know what needle system it uses. It is a drop-feed machine, set up with a double toe presser foot and toothed feed dog. I would like to set the machine up so it would be more useable on leather. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
