Looking For Other Southern Nevada Leatherworkers,

Recommended Posts

I would like to get a list together of other Southern Nevada leather workers, and possibly get together sometime. I have met with a couple of blacksmiths through the iforgeiron website, and would like to do the same with the leather workers. I am at a creative standstill currently, not just with leather, but all of my creative outlets. Lots of ideas, but I am missing something to get me going.

I live in Logandale (Moapa Valley), but get into Vegas regularly.

So who else is out there from Las Vegas, Henderson, Hendertucky, N. Las Vegas, Boulder City, or Mesquite?

I am werkin in LaVerkin UT,so even Beaver Dam/Littlefield AZ, or St George,Hurricane, and Washington areas of Utah are in my driving area.

Hi BGD,

Okay, I am in good old Lost Wages, Nevada and getting back into the swing of things again down here.

Uh, creative standstill, lets see, I usually just go buy a new knife or gun which would require some new leather and let nature take its' course. ;)

Since you are into doing the beating and banging over a nice hot forge and anvil, go make a new knife and then you will need some new leather.

Hey Treadhead,

thanks for posting. Hopefully some more will see this and keep it going. It can be a good resource for networking when you have craftsmen from different areas, and expertise.

I am a member of the Vegas Artist Guild, and also attend the First Friday events in the 18b Arts District. I haven't seen much done with leather at either one yet. So far at the guild meetings I have just shown off some of my ceramics, and a forged piece.
