Help With Dying And Finishing.

Looking for some tips on dying and finishing. As you can see from the pics I am having a hard time. I applied the eco-flo black with a sponge in a circular motion, Let it dry and buffed it. I then applied the eco-flo clear gloss with a sponge laying down an even coat. After letting it dry i buffed it and was left with what you see. Thank you in advance for any tips and tricks you guys may have.

Did you dampen the leather or thin the dye, as I have heardblack is hard to get right need to work with scrap peices first to get the right mix going on. I have oly did a couple of black peices before but not tandys. I've oil the leather and waited 10 minutes and dyed. So I would do some testing on scrap first. My .02
