  1. Thanks everyone. Wears really nice. Best leather I Have had the oppertunity to work with. Some pictures with about a weeks worth of wear behind it so not new and shiny anymore. Be gentle I am but a novice (-,
  2. Made myself a belt this weekend. J & FJ Baker bridle butt in australian nut color. With solid brass West end style buckle. Finished the edges by hand sanding, dying , burnishing with saddle soap and then Edge coat neutral. Hand stitched the buckle and keeper onto the belt with 0.6 mm thread at 8 spi
  3. Thanks guys. Looking forward to do some more belts for myself in the next few weeks. I Have some J Baker Bridle belts (Black and Aus Nut color) that needs the edges to be finished and stitched and then they are good to go. Will post once my supplies arrive via the post, which is hopefully soon. I will still decide if I do the overkill Chicago plus stitch or just stitch- all the same to me although doing both falls within my realm of over engineering (-,
  4. Hi my name is Andries and I live in South Africa. I have been making knives and thus sheath's for around 6 years. I have recently started playing around with other leather projects. My first two non sheath projects ever are included. One is a moulded cover for a flask from veg tan and the other a belt from bridle that I made for a family members birthday. I look forward to learning from you guys since my work and tools are very basic at this stage. Thanks for all the great info on this site!
