JohnBloch Report post Posted December 13, 2012 I found a stamp on etsy, and the actual stamp "blade" if you will is made out of brass. Does anyone have any experience with brass? I would suppose that it's much easier to mar the stamp if you were to pound it into something hard, but other than that I can't imagine much of a difference. I just want to know what yall think. I have had no issues at all, and I've used it quite a bit. Brass is softer than tool steel, but plenty hard enough to stamp leather as long as I'm careful enough not to hammer too hard.
