  1. I'm a retired engineer that originally learned leather working in the late 1970's. I can't say that I'm very good at it - 30 to 40 projects in 30 years doesn't make one proficient. However, I enjoy it and have more time now.

  2. I made a book cover that I dyed earlier today. I was looking for a VERY dark Navy Blue. I used the darkest Dark Blue alcohol based dye I could find and am very disappointed with the result. It turned out about the same color as the bar on the top of the Windows Explorer screen - a bright, medium blue. The thought occurred to me that I might get some Midnight Rit blue dye, or their equiv, and disolve some into the dye I already have. Has anyone done this or have any experience (or suggestion) that would get me to my desired result? Thanks.
