Recommended Posts

Does anyone know where I can find some different curb strap patterns?

Thanks.

How do you want to make them? With a chain, without a chain, braided, etc? As far as a pattern, most styles are just straight straps, so the only thing you should need are the measurements. I can try and get some pics and measurements from some that my grandad made for me if you like. It will have to be after Monday though as tomorrow is too busy for me.

Thanks. That would be great. Without chains and not braided (I haven't learned that one yet).

Gday mate

I have made some curb straps from roo leather ,,a simple flat braid with a button hole then a knot on the end to wrap around and back thru the button hole

Tom Hall has a very easy curb strap to make ,, no mesurements but gives ya all the info to make one for you or ya mates horse , if ya not keen on that ,,, bailing twine will always do the job but not look as nice !!!!

Cheer from down under

Thanks Bevan. I've heard a lot of good things from Roo leather. I'll give that a shot and see what happens.
