Custom Leather Stamps

Recommended Posts

I've been making custom stamps with my laser engraver out of 1/4" acrylic. I thought originally acrylic would not work, but to my surprise it works very well with an arbor press. They're not indestructible, but as long as apply even pressure, these will last a very long time.

I'm selling them for $10ea.. that includes shipping. A small art fee may apply if you have something complex.. $5 to $15 ..

PM me if interested

Ron

Hey Leatherhead99,

What are the dimensions of these in the pics? and how small can you make them. I would like to find a stamp for my wallets that I make. I have my own logo, but its not a difficult one. It would be the same as my forum picture.

Hey I would love to get a stamp from you!! I have my own logo it's a little complicated but I'm not sure how complicated it would be to make. Do you have an email or some way I can contact you? Thanks!!

This is an impression from a stamp Ron made for me.

It is exactly what I wanted, it does a perfect job.

This was pressed into dry Lisarda Leather from Italy. I done it with my Arbor Press.

Ron is very good with the laser and is prompt with his work, check him out!

I ditto Ferg's comments. That stamp above his was made for a special project I have in the works. I am making a limited number of key fobs to raise some money. Ron was so patient with me and my design changes. I appreciate you.

If anyone still would like custom stamps made let me know soon.. I will be raising the price to $15 for the 1st 1-1/8" and $10 for every square inch after that. Between the shipping, materials and time, theres little profit in this. I enjoy doing this, but I have to make it worth my while too. I put about an hour of work into almost every stamp, between emailing, design work and making sure your stamp is perfect. If you order from me more than once then I will definitely give you a discount, Or if you send more work my way from others, I will do the same.. Sorry for the inconvenience. Starting October first I will start with this price. This gives anyone who was pondering a stamp a little more time.

Thank you to everyone who has placed orders with me already and I look forward to making more stamps others.

I just want to say thanks to everyone who's contacted me through this forum and I appreciate all the business. I wanted to let everyone know I've started a small website where you can either buy my stamps, or contact me with inquiries about custom stamps. I can make almost any image into a stamp, so feel free to contact me and check out the new site. Its still a work in progress and some changes are still being made. You can also follow me on instagram and Facebook.

www.TheLasermill.com

I just started the Facebook and Instagram, but you can find more images of the custom stamps I've done there

Thanks again

Ron R

I've thought of having dies like this made as templates. Just press the die into the leather, and you'd have your indicia, your pattern, and even your stitching grooves, if you want!

Hi Ron,

I just caught this thread from the bump. Are you sticking with stamps or could you do embossing rolls? I'm not sure if the acrylic would work, but I have my mom's old Randall Machine Company embossing machine with a couple of rolls. but finding the unique vintage rolls/wheels for it is next to impossible. I found a couple of border/bar illustrations that I think would be cool as an embossing wheel pattern. Just wondering if the acrylic would be a reasonable option. It's always good to have options!
