Buenos dios,,,Out of leather but had enough scrap to fashion a holster similar to the angle of the Rory Calhoun pix...Gonna post few pixs and remember

this is a rough prototype held with glue and not perfect cuts...I was thinking maybe the T screws i read about at all the big time pro leather makers

migjht be a way to keep it at the right angle,,,,only i have no idea what they look like or where to install....I was hoping some one post some pixs of the

T screws(or other apparatus) and suggest in the holster or belt install or any better idea how to secure....Thanks...post-34724-0-99778500-1351886368_thumb.jpost-34724-0-55992500-1351886385_thumb.jpost-34724-0-55992500-1351886385_thumb.j

You can find t-nuts in the hardware section of Lowe's and Home Depot...usually around the furniture hardware. Lowe's typically has 3 prong, HD has 4 prong.

99% of the time you can get by with the 6/32 size, plus the 6/32 require less room on back and the 6/32 screw heads will fit inside line 24 snaps with no modification.

Or you could always use a couple "Chicago" screws.

Unless you are wanting an attachment that can swivel "Chicago Screws" are really the best for reinforcing a bond. The "T" nuts can be used for attaching a holster clip mount that will give you the ability to move it or swivel the location. I am attaching a picture of an IWB holster I make that uses "T" nuts so the mounts can be adjusted.

Bottom line, if you just want to reinforce a seam use chicago screw.

The t-nuts are also quite useful if you want to hide the back of the fastener between two pieces of leather.

Yes, the prongs are sometimes too long and poke through.......right up to the point that you get a pair of side cutters (dikes) and clip the little prongs to the size you want.

thanks for pixs and other advice,,,the belt in the pix is a vintage George Lawrence belt and i don't want to put holes in it so i drug out 1 made a while back and i believe it only 7/8oz leather

cause no matter how i secure to it,, the holster kept falling south!!!

I sent a pix to will ghormly and he said it would need a custom belt because of the severe angle...Atempting something beyond my skill but have learned from it..maybe next year i tackle agin,

gonna see if i can fashion some other kind of holster from it,,,it was just a pice of scrap i was toying with till i get some more hide!!!
