Hi guys, just finished this pair of Cowboy wrist cuffs!

I've edited a bit the pattern kindly provided by Jim Simmons, and I've taken inspiration from this video from Richard Black for the final look.

So guys tell me what do you think!

Cheers from Italy

PS

Thanks for Jim Simmons for his simply great patterns!

Thanks for the comment lonesome dove! The gentleman was so happy about those cuffs that immediatly ordered me a matching gun belt with a double holster set! I am working at it right now!

As always a big THANKS goes to Jim Simmons, for his patterns and detailed instructions!

There is a big difference in the gunfighter wannabe analysis and the old cowboy comments. Understood that the first is your customer base and what matters the most and you already have your most important feedback: REPEAT BUSINESS!! All that said, the old cowboy says this. The buckles and straps should be quite a bit smaller, as small as will still stand up to wear, perhaps out of a different kind of leather, eg latigo. Small roller buckles with keepers offer easy on. The centar bar type of buckle would catch on a rope, rein, even a horse's mane. And where laced together I would suggest using either a gaucho or braided style, one that uses about twice as many holes and four times as much lace yielding a tougher join, and the bottom of the lace column will be a stress point so should start on that end so that there is a double pass where there will be the most stress. Like I said at the beginning, your customers are what counts and there will definitely be more gunfighter wannabes than old cowboys that see your wares. Keep on doing what makes people happy and you might even end up nearly famous.

Thanks oltoot, for the precious informations about cowboy cuffs, I am always interested in period correct and realistic western items! Sooner I'll make to make another pair, if you have reference pics will be cool! Most people just love the stereotype of western leather...
