I use the Nordic Pulver powder coating gun. It’s different from the Eastwood system, in that it doesn’t need to produce an electric charge. It works with static electricity, so you don’t get that ‘halo’ magnetic effect where you cannot get the powder into the corners. Much handier for complicated shapes.

I do like how you designed the belt mounting for your knive sheaths. Quite unusual, but looks practical as a cross body knife mount.

You can hand stitch chrome leather, but I find it's a bit on the elastic side, but the finished item looks fine. I prefer to use my energy and fun on sewing veg tan, so that's why I prefer to hold the chrome tan together with double sided tape, and run it through my Consew.

Thank you (blush emoticon here). There are lot of silly little mistakes in it, but since it was for me, I didn't mind. It was a good way to use up some lovely chrome tan leather I got from Hewitts (the bookbinding suppliers, and just a few miles from me, lovely people). They don't usually stock chrome leather, but there were a few part hides they had bought back from a old customer's widow (as I said, lovely people) and I fell in love with this one. I took this picture when it was 9/10th finished. Just finished the edges yesterday. Sorry, I appear to be hijacking your thread.

How about some double sided tape instead of glue. The bag I use as my avatar (quick knock together in a day, one for me) was held together pre-sewing, using double sided tape cut into narrow strips. It worked well for me.

I have a Singer 29k, and got my husband to make a cetachable table for it. I love it, and would never part with it. Unless a Singer 7 or 45 came up.

I got one of these off ebay, and not done much with it. How have you set it up for thinner leathers? I got mine working after a fashion, but would love to get more use out of it.

Looking at your pictures, it seems a really good project, and I have alway wanted one of these bags for myself. I'd also feel left out I didn't ask for a copy too (smily emoticon here). hi, I have a 29K15, complete with original treadle table, and like you, I made a flatbed table for it. These tables were a standard Singer accessory, and originals are very rare to come by. Have to admit, I love my 29K. Have you come to terms with the tension ok? They are quite tempramental, but worth the effort for the quality of stitch, and the pure fun of using such a machine.
