Hello From A Noober In Ks!

Recommended Posts

Hello all!

I've been a fan of good leatherwork for a very long time. My dad was a pretty good leatherworker. Especially since he was self taught. However, he was pretty good at drawing too so he could recreate anything he saw as well as come up with his own stuff. I inherited his leatherworking tools. I've been reading about leatherwork for a while and finally decided to jump in with both feet and start learning and APPLYING techniques rather than just reading and watching videos. I'm excited to learn a craft I can pass on to my kids. Hopefully I can be with my kids a bit longer than my dad was able too so I can personally pass it on to them rather than only memories of my working different items.

Anywho, I'll be trolling in the dark corners reading as much as I can and trying projects.

If there's any of you folks close to Central Kansas who could use an apprentice, let me know!

Thanks,

Joe

That's very good to hear!

I haven't even scratched the surface and I've already found a couple projects I would like to try that I should be able to complete with the bag of scraps I have on-hand.

Thanks for the welcomes!
