      Make it the same as the outside but as you sew toward the bottom the seam gets a tiny bit bigger. For example start at 1/2" and as you get closer to the bottom sew 5/8" so it won't be baggy inside.

      You can machine sew the inside to be as complicated as you want but the opening must be the same size as the top ot the leather bag. turn a hem on the top of the inner bag lower than your seam then hand stitch the innards into the bag around the top. Make sure you have finished staining and polishing the outside and edges first.
