New Double Snap IWB Holster

Recommended Posts

A customer wanted a couple changes to my normal Double Snap/Clip holster so I added a reinforcement leather and metal piece. I think it turned out very good and my customer is happy so all is good. The gun is a Kel-tec PF9.

Great looking holster... what a shame to hide it behind a belt.

As I'm just getting started on making holsters for my guns could you provide some specs on the holster... weight of leather and what kind of finish you used. It looks like the belt snaps are on a separate piece of leather sewn between the two pieces of leather. The reenforcement looks good, was it added after molding?

I like it alot, I've been wanting to try a pattern similiar to that for awhile now. What kind of metal did you use for the reinforcement? Once again it looks great!

The leather is ~6 oz, finish is Fiebings USMC Black, top coat is Resolene cut 50/50 with water and used heavy duty aluminum flashing for reinforcement. The reinforcement was molded after installation during the hot wet forming.

Liveneasy, your right the leather loop is stitched between the pancake leather and the loop is also riveted to the outside piece of leather. I used pull the dot fasteners.
