  1. I am looking for a gunn style glove pattern. I can find plenty of other patterns but not this style. I took apart an old pair of gloves that fit and made a pattern. I then made a few pair of gloves and they will work for now but they just aren't the same. It is hard to tell what the original pattern looked like since the leather stretches over time.
  2. what is used for filling in the dents by caused by the nails in the rawhide like on the back of the cantle and the forks? I only have a few but they show right through the leather. thanks
  3. My 4 year old goes to work with me every day so I would prefer not to have acid around cause sometimes he gets a little too curious. The lemon juice worked well so I am going to stick with it for now. Thanks for the help though.
  4. I tried the lemon juice and it worked great.
  5. I have been working with leather for 9 years now and am self taught. I have had the problem of the blue and black spots on my leather after wetting. I know it is from contact with metal. I have always tossed my projects unless they needed to be dyed black. I recently found this site and have read about the oxolic acid but I cannot find it local and I do not have enough time to order any. Is there anything else I can use to remove these spots?
