My question is, seeing how the box is stained, what color should I make the leather and the cat? I'm thinking a light brown, like saddle tan, with the cat down in a resist; or burgundy with a black cat, or grey cat...just can't make up my mind! So the choice is in your hands! LOL! pepin1948 Report post Posted June 30, 2006 Here it is, using the new Tandy product Block Out for a resist, then saddle tan antique (liquid). I heard this same thing from Dennis Yoder when I bumped into him in town today (He is the one other leatherworker in Hamburg). The only reason I tried this product was that Jim Linnell (spelling?) used it at a workshop he gave in the Tandy, Baltimore (MD) store. Seeing it in use "sold" me on it.
