  1. No problem Bob appreciate the help That makes sense thank you for clarifying.Spent all day yesterday just drawing curves with the knife and bevel practice
  2. Thanks so much for the critique Bob.I really appreciate it !A lot easier to learn with constructive feedback. You are too kind imo on the beveling, its not a bit choppy its really ragged I will keep practicing & will conquer that darn swivel knife if it kills me.It feels very awkward, my brain is used to drawing pencils. Could you elaborate what you mean by flat spots? I think I know what you mean but not sure
  3. If you go back a bit and pause the video looks like she is in fact using the Cova paints thinned down
  4. This is my 1st time beveling the first one I did was mostly 3d stamps.
  5. Thanks for the welcome all
  6. Thanks all for advice I had to giggle at the spelling as is good advice if know me lol. As I have gotten older I tend to misspell often. Also I type dyslexic if do not go slow. Friends joke I have my own language :D I didn't think to do a line for the border. Will try that next time ! Sadly I did for the letters and still messed up the I is higher and the spacing is off. the doodle I did under after exaggerated it even more Will keep practicing
  7. Hi there:)Nice to see is others from Idaho
  8. I have been lurking here for a bit.Figured was time to introduce myself. I am a 48 year old housewife from N,Idaho. Been drawing all my life( realistic style graphite drawings) but always have had interests in different creative things. Had hand surgery a few years ago & have yet to pick back up my pencils. I had an interest in learning tooling so my husband got me a kit. Most recent a shopping spree for Christmas as well. Now I am hooked & have much to learn :)I think he is getting hooked also lol.I have only done one small projct so far but will be practicing. Looking forward to getting to know all of you!
  9. My 1st project & 1st post .Figured I would practice on bracelet blanks.Made a lot of mistakes & not much tooling, more stamping but proud of myself anyways:) Any advice on keeping stamps ( lettering & border) straight would be greatly appreciated.
