My 2 latest projects a Bible and checkbook covers

Recommended Posts

Haven't been doing much leather, what with all the computer difficulties, but I just finished a couple of items that were on a deadline. I think they turned out pretty good except the basketweave being a littile off, and my sewing is getting better with each project.

Looks really good, Jordan! Don't worry about the basketweave, when I try it it's just like me, waayy off.

Jordan,

They look great. I particularly like the way you did the border on the bible cover.

Great way to finish the corners on the border, that always gives me fits! Both projects look really good.

Nice job Jordan!.

I really like that color, it's a rich brown...and me too on the corner idea.

eco-flow acorn brown and a slightly watered down black hi-lite over the top.

Nicely done Jordan.

I have to jump on the "corner" bandwagon here as well. I don't do alot of stamped borders because of the corners, but now I see that it can be done. So....THANKS!

And basketweave is the bane of my existence! Notice I haven't ever posted any! Cuz my only attempt have not been pretty. More Basket chunks than weave!

Keep em coming my friend!

Jordon,

Very nice work!

Like the way the leaves are overlapped on the checkbook cover.

What tool did you use on the border on the inside of the bible cover?

Jordan those look great. How did you apply the stain to the bible cover? Did you use an airbrush?

I used craftool #E294 on the inside for the border and to hide some problems on the other piece. No airbrush, I don't have the patience to learn how to use one well enough, I used a damp dense sponge in a swirling motion. Thanks very much for the comments, though I don't think my work comes close to some of you that post on this board.
