  1. I High side holster i made with a little bit of basket weave. I'm not selling these just wanted somthing nice that wouldn't break the bank.
  2. absolutley gorgouse! Very nice work.
  3. Just some tooling i have done. Nothing as fancy as some out here. I became a member to learn some about roses and dressing carvings up with foliage. Then i see all the stuff on braided edges..Gasp..does this fourm have some talented folk.
  4. On the making side I just love the smell of of the leather and how it feels to the touch. All of that aside I'm with jordon"My favorite part is when someone says " That is just what I need, How much?" And we make the exchange, my time and talent for their money! " but even more so when someone gets in contact with me and says they love what i have made for them(either comercially or Just a gift). I made a set of tooled bracers for a friend(back in my medievial days) for a wedding gift and everytime i see him he brings up how much he loves them. chris
  5. That is what i thought. I did not want to cheep out because I know nothing is more expensive than having to buy something twice because you wanted to save a buck . I was hoping to get around the 500lb plus machine. Time to gather the friends for a beer and pizza night when this comes in. Thanks for the advice. Chris
  6. Done with shears i hope. I'm sure this has been posted before but i didnt find anything in a seach. Is the tippmann clicker 700 enough clicker for 8-9 oz leather? The max leather it says is .5 inches thick but it says the same thing on the 1500. Is the 1500 just for bigger projects? Im am wanting to click out holsters and knife sheaths and keeping some consistency and leave the shears for private projects. Mostly the leather will be 5-6 oz but will do up to 9 oz at times. Thanks for the patience with a newbi question. Chris
  7. Hi my name is Chris. I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I have been doing leather work on and off for the past 10 years. I do some carving but nothing that would rate me past an amature. I got into leather working when i did medieval reenactments. It was cheeper to make the stuff than buy it and it funded my hobbie. I'm out of the sword swinging these days and I started up a sight selling pocket holsters that were affordable (apholsters.com) though im not here to plug. I am here to learn and to help. Chris
