What items are you working on now or planning out for the big Christmas push that you see to be trending? Do you go for volume or margin this time of year?

How do I create soft, supple oiled harness tack? I love the feel of reins and headstalls. I just picked up a headstall and it was made from 16 oz leather. Is there a company that sells factory oiled sides or how do I get that oiled look and feel from regular harness leather? Thanks!

I finally acquired my very own sewing machine. I have some bell boots that need new Velcro strips. I was wondering if anyone had a good lead on where I can source heavy duty Velcro to sew on. Thanks, Chad

So just to give y'all a laugh, I saved the lace butt joint pdf on a flash drive and my girlfriend opened it up the other day. The title was only lace butt joint. I got the worst look and had to do a lot of explaining fast.

I started toying around in making bronc halter nosebands. The ones I have been making are just simple with only stamping. I was wondering what the best thing to line the back of the noseband is for when I want to add some bling. I was thinking latigo leather. Chad

I am thinking about basically making a circle from a 4 wide strap and I want to attach it together by butting the two opposite sides together. I know that I can use a curved awl and curved needles with a saddle stitch, but I was was wondering if anyone has a good way to use lace and be able to cover the seem. The only lace examples I have seen are for attaching two pieces flat together. This piece will be wrapped tight around a round object and I think a lace would look nice. Thanks, Chad

Bob, first off thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and taking the time to respond to all of us. I saw that you apply your finish before you burnish so the saddle soap doesn't discolor the leather. I was wondering what your steps are when antiquing and edging Before I have been finishing my edge the finishing but I don't want to stain my leather with the soap.
