katcreek Report post Posted May 27, 2013 I'm very new to this forum and new to leather working. I'm making guitar straps that have sewn leather ends, the rest is a webbing material. I have bought a 4-5 ounce oil-tanned leather for the front and a upholstery leather for the back. I think this forum is great because all I've found up till this point is a book for sewing leather garments that was written in the 70s. I have a Pfaff sewing machine and I'm pretty good at sewing fabrics. I need advice on needle size, threads, and where to get them.
