  1. These hole punch pliers actually work as advertised: https://www.amazon.com/Silent-Revolving-Leather-Stitching-Pliers/dp/B07HN6M77B/ref=sr_1_14?keywords=Leather+Hole+Punch+Stitching+Hand+Pliers&qid=1575923651&sr=8-14 https://www.amazon.com/Leather-Pliers-Rustproof-Durable-Stitching/dp/B07Z419S7D/ref=sr_1_33?keywords=Leather+Hole+Punch+Stitching+Hand+Pliers&qid=1575923651&sr=8-33 https://www.amazon.com/Leather-Stitching-Strength-Rustproof-Durable/dp/B07WDX6DXJ/ref=sr_1_15?keywords=Leather+Hole+Punch+Stitching+Hand+Pliers&qid=1575923651&sr=8-15 They come with two chisels, for 2 and 4 hole punching.
  2. Setting Double Cap Rivets with parts from a pair of Jean Rivet Setters Buy two (2) of these. The package above is from Michael’s. We need to use two (2) of the smooth domed inserts (left side of photo). Replace the dimple insert (right side of photo) with the smooth domed insert from the second setter. Double Capped Rivets will fit in the setter just like Jean Rivets. they'll be held in place by the rubber gaskets. If you need to set further from the edge of your leather, just cut the setter in half. Follow the same instructions for setting a Jean Rivet: match up the Rivet post and cap correctly apply your hammer/mallet strike(s) to set. This works very similar to an expense rivet setting hand press.
