Hey thanks for the tips, ill try experimenting with different applicators, somethings got to work, youd think if the sell the product then it should of been tested before it went on the market. I think your right about the darkening, when i applied the satin sheen the veg tan still had that beautiful colour but now its a shade darker, if i put more on to even it out then it will be darker again, my wallet turned out the same after using the conditioner, it looks nice now but its very dark. Im going to try and find some resoline, does tandy sell it? How do you normally finish your leather goods? Is the resolene meant to finish the leather or also conditions it? Gday Tom, Thanks for the reply! No didnt dye it just put on the eco flo satin shene, left that on there for a couple of months and then added an australian made leather conditioner by B.K Smith, "australian leather conditioner" after the brand name. It has happened when ive applied it directly to veg tanned leather as well. Im guessing its just the product? Lol so much to learn, and its a shame when you make something that takes forever and it turns out like that.

It looked great with just the sealer, but the conditioner created the problem, ive tried it with out a sealer and it does the same thing.

Hey, i recently made a tote bag for my sister out of veg tanned leather, i applied one coat of tandy satin sealer, and then a coat of a leather conditioner, as you can see in the photo the finish is streaky and looks horrible. Any ideas as to why this happened and how to fix it, i applied it with a soft cloth, evenly and liberally. Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks.

Heya, sorry to ask but ive been trying to find a tutorial etc on how to do the buckles. Im making a messenger bag and need to do the shoulder strap and two straps with buckles to keep the flap down. If anyone could direct me to the right info it would be much appreciated. Thanks. Jake.
