ABC3 Report post Posted February 23, 2009 I know you should check the bobbin before sewing a new project (belt in this case) but I did not. Half way through the project my bobbin ran our of thread. Nothing but holes for several inches. How do you salvage the belt. Can you load the bobbin & over-lap the stitches and continue down the groove ? Pulling out thread can be a pain but don't know what it would look like if you stitched over a couple of threads to continue. Maybe like "back stitching". hidepounder Report post Posted February 23, 2009 Tom, You're not the first one to do that! It's like Kevin said, though, how particular are you? You could overlap a stitch or two and continue...the overlap will show if you look for it...especially with heavier thread. You could start in your last hole and keep on going...that will look better on top but will show on the bottom. It could also come undone on the bottom pretty easily. Or, pull the stitches, maybe back to the tip if you've already started down the other side, and re-sew through the same holes. That's what I do when I screw up....I'm getting pretty good at it!
