just finished my second seat

Recommended Posts

A fellow student of MMI wanted me to recover his lepera seat with flames for his bike. this is what i came up with. since im just starting I didnt know what i was getting into but i guess it turned out good.

Stretching leather is not fun at all!!!! but i guess if you have patience and time its worth the hassle.

tell me what you guys think, cause i want to keep getting better.

I will post pics of the seat on his bike as soon as i get some

Very cool looking, good job. What did you use to color it with?

This looks good on the bike. It looks like you got some ripples on the center of the seat huh? I had that problem too with the leather I was using. Did you glue the seat down too to the foam?

Looks good though.

I used eco-flo lime green stain with black oil stain.

Looks real nice, the green matches real well with tank and fender.

What did you seal it with.

Because I read that some people were having problems with eco-flo runing, color coming thru the sealers they used.

Here is the thread.

I just bought some for a purse that i'm going to make for my girlfriend.

So I would like to know if you had any problems with eco-flo.

thanks guys!

I did use glue but I didnt use it all over the top foam. just on the largest area of the seat and not too much at that. but for the next one I will use more glue if it would make it easier to form.

to seal the seat I used carnuba leather wax then sheen. I didnt have any problems with it running or seaping.
