BizWiz83 Report post Posted September 13, 2011 (edited) Hey everyone. Glad to be here. I am working on a project making a staff. I want to mount a 80mm-100mm Obsidian sphere to the top using 1/8 inch rawhide lace. I plan on wrapping the wet rawhide around the staff and then the sphere so most of the sphere is still exposed. I am concerned that the rawhide will not be enough to hold the sphere on top of the staff properly. Do you have any tips and tricks that can reassure me? Is this even possible? The best method? I want to make sure that one, the rawhide will be secured to the staff, and two, that the sphere will be secured in the rawhide. Any kind of tying technique I should use? knots? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Edited September 13, 2011 by BizWiz83
