  1. Hello, I'm new here and joined because I'm expanding from simple stitching repairs into more involved services for my clients. A long-time client begged me to strip & re-dye her english saddle (of very good quality leather). I used Fiebings Deglazer (worked very well), the their Pro Oil Dye in the color she wanted (fantastic result; quite even & buffed out to a moderate glow). Now, I'm waffling on what to use to "finish" it so that the dye will never transfer onto her riding pants, but not make the saddle impervious to future conditioning treatment and also not make the saddle too glossy & slick to ride in. I have ordered both the Tan-Kote and the Balm w/Atom Wax, but is there something else that is really more appropriate or a method I need to know to tackle this? Thank you very much for any tips, or links! -DM
