Bonne Jour! Hello! Looks like you have a good start going here. There are four things that someone needs to get better at this.

1.Practice

2.Proper tools

3.Good Visual References

4. Practice, Practice and more practice.

There is a great book on Sheridan Carving by Gardner and Fay that is out there. Image of same here with.

Also just going around this site will reveal to you some wonderful examples of what others are doing.
