Dally Roper Report post Posted October 8, 2010 My daughter has a used youth roping saddle. The problem is that the horn is not very thick in diameter and the cap is not very large. I was wondering if it would be possible to unwrap the horn and stiches and to enlarge the diameter and horn cap. The tree is fiberglass covered. The goal is perhaps a 3" cap and a horn large enough and shapped so that her dallies go to the bottom of the horn and the rope has more surface area touching the horn with each wrap. Your thoughts?
