I made a Hungarian traditional pocket knife holster for traditional pocket knife. I hope you like it:

Your case is wonderful. You call these latest sheaths traditional in Hungary. I have never seen any like these before. This sliding type holster could be used for other things besides knives. I wonder if they would be used in Hungary for carrying other items? Your work is beautiful and unique. I always enjoy viewing your posts. Thank you!

Beautiful work. These types of cases are very old. In medieval times they were often used to hold writing tablets and I suppose other things. The book Purses in Pieces by Olaf Goubitz has several good examples.

This type of holster was traditionally made and used only for sheathing knives.

How do you carry the sheath/knife? Hanging off the belt, or your backpack?

Your work is outstanding.

I made wet formed leather, size-fits-formatted. Yes, it's hanging strap.
