  • How did you find leatherworker.net?

  1. Won't work. A 111W is a walking foot where a 223 is a needle feed.
  2. I bought a Consew 223R several months ago for sewing lining into my western holsters and for bullet loops. I need some feet that I can modify for sewing the bullet loops. So far I have been unable to find any on the net. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  3. The company I bought them from bought out 3 small companies in the past year. These are only 2 of the machines that were excess to their needs. I have a Singer 111 so I knew the 225 was a clone. They were also selling Adler, Singer and Brothers machines of the same type used to sew upholstry.
  4. I ran across a Consew 223R today for only $300.00 so I bought it. Now the question is how heavy of a leather can I sew with it? How heavy of a thread can I sew with it? All help will be appreciated. I may have more money than sense because I bought a Consew 225 also for only $100.00.
  5. Take your bear fat and put it in a crock pot and fill until it covers the fat a few inches. Turn the pot on medium heat and slowly render the fat. After the mass of fat has shrank turn off the crock pot and allow it to cool. The resulting oil can then be dipped off and kept in glass jars for use.
  6. Go on E-bay and do a search for router bit bearings. You may be able to buy larger bearings that will work. The router bearings are what I used when I scratch built a sewing guide for my GA5-1.
  7. Always remember the scarf of the needle goes to the inside and you won't go wrong. http://sewing.about.com/od/sewingmachinein...Needle.--91.htm
  8. Send me your address and I'll send you a needle for it.
  9. I carry a "man purse" every day and have men and women ask me where I got it. Because of a spine problem I cannot carry a billfold in my back pocket and the "man purse" is much more secure. I never get any negative comments about carrying it. But then I am 6"6" and 300 pounds.
  10. What needle system does it use?
