Hi Tim,

I like the way your work is displayed with the western/log cabin look. I think it adds impact to your work.

Good luck with the site.

Hi,

Great web site, congratulations.

Couple of hints

"Under Construction" signs are well frowned on in web developement. I would get rid of it. Better to say, "If you don't find what you're after check back soon as we are always adding new stuff"

Remember that what you see on your monitor is not neccessarily what others see. Unless monitors are calibrated to a standard then colors, brightness and contrast are at the whim of the monotor's current settings. I say this because my wife, who does have big time vision problems, struggled to see the logo and did have some problems with the text.

I hate to sound like a wet blanket. You have done a hell of a job. I just wanted to pass on some 15 years of, sometimes very bitter, experience.

Overall it is great stuff.

Cheers

I like the look of it. Clean and crisp design and there space left for putting information texts too.

The font for your logo looks great!

Thanks for all the great comments on the site!!!! It is very much appreciated.

I thought the Bleeding Cowboy font was one of the coolest things I have ever seen. I had some business cards printed with it too.

BigALC-thanks for the advice on the "under construction" line----I already took it out.

Thanks again to everyone for all the nice comments.............and a BIG thanks for all the hits on my web counter!!!!!! It has tripled since I posted this up.....from 70 to 210+!!!!!!!!

THANKS ALL!!!!

Tim

Very nice looking site - By the way, I like the 'hammered copper' look on the flap of the one bag you have on there. Ballpeen hammer?

Nope but close.........biggest smooth pear shader craftool makes. Just keep randomly rotating it and use different sides and angles with the tool.........just don't set up a pattern.

Here's a pic of the purse in question:

hhhhmmmmmmmmmm.....wonder what a ball peen hammer would look like???????

Timbo,

Great job on the new web site. very easy to navigate and loads fast. I have one suggestion for you. The pictures that have the big red tobacco sign really take a lot away from your products. It made it hard for my eyes to find your leatherwork as the sign kept drawing them away. I think the background of the log cabin by its self would work much better. Just my thoughts.

Nice job on the website. I just have a few suggestions. My old eyes struggled a bit with the yellow lettering on your "About" page. I'm not sure if it was the color, or the fact that it was laid over the leather work that made it hard for me to read.

although I also thought the log cabin background looked really cool I did find it distracted a bit from the leatherwork and would like to get a closer look at those canteens. The cell phone cover pictures were really good. I could really see the detail and get a good look at them. Good Luck on everything. Hope the website gets you a ton of business. Chris

Thanks for the advice Chris....I'll change the coloring of the lettering to make it easier to read or get rid of the background. Don't know if you realized it or not but all the little pics are links to bigger pics........just click the pic and it will open up a bigger version.

As for the tobacco sign........well, I don't think the folks that own the cabin would care much for me taking it down. I'll scout out a place for the next pics that won't have so much clutter in the background.

Thanks to all for the pointers and I'm up to 330 hits!!!! Woohoo!!!!

Site looks really good. I like the fact that you can click on the pictures to get a bigger one. I like your cell cases. All your work is tight. What color/finish do you have on your personal gun leather? You might put the navigation menu that you have on the top of each page at the bottom as well. Keeps people from having to scroll back to the top to click on another link. Not a big deal now since you have a few things on each page, but as you grow, that might be helpful. Great job and keep us posted on how it's working for you.

The finish on it is Star extra virgin olive oil with a touch of Fiebings pro oil dye saddle tan in it. No antique the impressions are just there dark burnished selves.

I think I will had a menu at the bottom of the page...........sounds like a great idea......THANKS!!!!!

Nice site. I have one suggestion, though. I was a little slowed down by the first segment of text, the list on your homepage, in upper case letters, of all the items you can make. Then the next paragraph was much easier to read, saying how the only limits on what you can make is the customers imagination. Maybe put the more folksy, engaging paragraph ahead of the list. A personal touch right away. IMHO, Doug
