  1. Hello. I'm looking for some suppliers for shearling sheepskin suitable for making slippers. Thank you.
  2. Hi guys, I'm new to leatherworking. I mainly got into it as a method of healing from combat stress from deployments to AFG and IRQ. I've talked about this more in depth on my site. I've given my items away and slowly word of mouth had made it feasible to start selling a few things here and there. I've found this website to be a wealth of information on just about everything related to leatherworking. My site is www.etsy.com/shop/legendarysaxon
  3. Hello everyone. New to leather working. After experimenting, put together this burgundy/champagne tote, using Tandy oil tanned. The second is a custom vertical messenger sleeve/bag for a Macbook, and an outer pocket for an iPad mini, using Tandy Kodiak oil tanned. I don't have a machine so I hand sew for now. Although listed on my Etsy site, I've given both of these pieces away. Critique welcome.
  4. Hello all. I'm a vet of AFG and IRQ. I have PTSD and have gotten into leatherworking because I love leather and as a sort of art therapy. I'm experimenting with small iPhone cases at the moment in order to learn my tools and dyes. ( I spilled about 3 ounces of brown Fiebings oil dye on our dining room table last night.) I'd like to get into making messenger bags and laptop cases, and have ideas about some cool apparel and art projects. I just spent 400 bucks on tools. My intention is to mostly make cool things for myself, family and friends. I've learned quite a bit from searching through the forums already and look forward to being part of this artisan community. Cheers! Scott Legendary Saxon Artisan Leathers
  5. Beautiful work. Can you explain your dyeing and finishing process? Thanks.
