Roger Report post Posted December 11, 2007 very nice work just curious how you got the fading lighter color, and the process you used to get such a rich look to your work. thanks skip! i have been using an airbrush for quite some time to fade the dyes. much more control that way. as far as the look.. dunno. i always give the leather a good coat of lexol after the dye is applied then a good buff with denim finished off with a coat or two of pecards then buff again. i spend between 8 and 10 hours on a tool bag roger cool bag!!what kind of material do you line your bags with? thanks!! i picked up some 2-3 0z. leather from siegel's. nice soft stuff good for lining ect. the edges are skived before glueing ans stitching Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
