  1. Kash, Great idea when your store is up. Post a link in tools section see who else is intrested in your punches for retail buy, a good punch is a leather shops best friend.
  2. Hey guys Shop Gnome here, Mojo George and I had an idea. Felt tip "refillable" pens from the local art supply company. Ad some dye and PRESTO! edging. (this is my first attempt at using this so more info when I get it.) Has any else tried these things? If so thoughts? https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8OjhCpucdcHRHhPd2lNSDlCQ00/view?usp=sharing Simple veg tan scrap. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8OjhCpucdcHYkZoa3pORkUxU3M/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8OjhCpucdcHUURUNGRfSzFFSms/view?usp=sharing Quick rub with the pen. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8OjhCpucdcHbFpBbXMyZ1NoRzA/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8OjhCpucdcHN3ZqVlFHRVE3OUk/view?usp=sharing Of course this is USMC Black one of my favorite colors. After the 45 minutes of buffing and more buffing we will see how it comes out. Let me know what you guys think. Shop Gnome Out!
  3. Very nice, Great turn out. I used to have the same issue Lunation, I had 2 learn to take a break maybe look at a different project for an hour or two then come back to lacing or hand stitching in my newbie opinion is the worse. Again great work keep it up! -Garrett
  4. Hello there my name is Garrett. New the to forum and wanted to introduce myself. Grew up around leather workers and now that I am older and have more patience (gray hair) and growing bald decided to pick up the ole knife and see what I remembered. Pretty much relearning some of the skills of the trade, any advise that doesn't cause harm to my person is good advise as I see it. Here is a quick piece I made for a friend who is putting together a "gas-light Batman" for Cosplay. (oh forgive my 1990's Digital Camera)
