Looking to split a leather belt tab so I can insert a piece of cotton webbing into it. I’d like the split to be about 1.5” deep into the tab and then reverse the tab out of the machine. Will a hand crank splitter like a Master Tools splitter accomplish this? I’ve been looking on YouTube but I haven’t seen anyone reverse a piece of leather out of the splitter. Everything I see only shows a piece of leather being fully split. Anyone have any advice? Thank you!
