British United Shoe Machinery

Recommended Posts

I have been reading a lot of threads sprinkled with people talking about how amazing their British United Shoe Machinery machines are still in operation after all this time. I thought perhaps folks would be interested in doing a show an tell on what they have, where they bought the machine and what application they are using it for. As a machine bench tool collector from a time long past I think its important to show the images of what you have and prompte more awareness to the machines that powered our trade many years ago! All I have is a manual showing the complete line of machines this company made. Real images would be great!

The British were leaders of the industrial revolution and their machine created at the time were their legacy!

I only have a Pearson 6 harness machine, a commonly use machine and built like no other. I have not logged enough hours on the machine but I hope to soon when orders slow down.

Ok I just recently aquired a BUSM Strap hole punch in England. Having it sent over now. Needs a rucst cleaning and possible paint but i like the old look of this machine. Enjoy!
