  1. Lobo, I'm sorry I never replied to this! I thank you for your reply and the photographs. Your mag pouches look great but I think you're right. For plain clothes I'm thinking single mags would be better... with a regular belt it would probably feel very heavy compared to your duty belt. I'm just starting to work on some cuff ideas as well.
  2. Reviving an old thread... Just wondering for those more experienced, what your thoughts on the mag pouches and how big you like them for retention vs removing them with ease? I assume the pouch will loosen somewhat once the leather wears in a bit and the picture shown above seem like it goes about half way up the mag? Would you suggest a longer pouch? Is this not a problem?
  3. When you guys use the poly or nylon thread, does it take dye when you dye the leather? Or does it stay white? Do you stitch after if it does dye? What size awl do you use for 277?
  4. I thank you both for the suggestion, I think I'll go Canadian as much as possible, you never know what the brokerage will be ordering down south and it always leaves you a little disappointed having another huge bill when you receive your things! Have you found any other Canadian suppliers? I live in a very rural town so most will be mail order, although I do get to Edmonton semi-regularly. Thank you both again!
  5. I will definitely be spending my money at one of these two places, now. I was debating ordering from Tandy because of proximity and quick shipping, but I had a bad experience from the Vancouver manager and wasn't really impressed. This has made up my mind... I hope there aren't too many dutie fees coming to Canada!
  6. I'd kind of like to know this too, so a free bump
  7. Just wanted to also thank you (a little late) for this tutorial! I am very new to this and actually appreciate the leather dyeing part as well (If not more). I eventually want to try to make a molded holster for my gun. One step at a time though!
