What Are Some Items That You Guys Sell?

Recommended Posts

What are a few items that you can:

Make with the scraps: like lanyards, key fobs ect.

Make that are easy to assemble and produce.

Items that take a little bit of time to make and sell for more

What do you do for items that you want to cut labour time on.

Like rivets rather than stitching, machine stitching, die cutting ect. Are there any others you do on certain parts to save time like make parts in bulk before hand, different materials. Especially on edges, hand stitching, cutting that you picked up over the years.

I sell leather padfolios, guitar straps, and ranger belts.

I sell wallets, belts, pad-folio's, purses/handbags, small personal use accessories, and pretty much everything but saddles (although I used to do that for a long time).

Key fobs are kind of a throw away item like business cards.

Are you just looking for some side money?

Make quality items, and sell them as such. Cutting corners will look cheap, and will also get less price wise. Your time is worth something, how little is it worth?

Most of the items I make and sell are on a bespoke basis - I will make just about anything a customer wants, but I won't make anything cheaply, and consequently it isn't cheap...

I tell potential customers, if you want cheaply made items at a cheap price, then go down the road to WalMart.
