Just saw a listing for a Singer 97-10 for $18,000 !!!

Recommended Posts

I thought it was a mistake and maybe was $1,800, so dropped him a note to ask about it, as well as the accurate price. Answer? Nope, he's looking for 18 grand! Blew me away!

Probably one of the better needle feed jump foot machines, but for that price you could buy 7 or 8 Ferdinand 900s and just pile them in the corner if they stopped working. I've noticed a few folks asking outrageous prices for classic machines and they may be targeting the naive consumer, you know, it weighs as much as my car, why should it cost any less?

There is one for sale down here, it was on Ebay last week and didn't sell, and they want $6000 for it and it looks to be in pretty good condition.

Yes, you are a member. You can advertise your machine for free in the Market Place section of the forum. There's a sub-forum there for used sewing machines. Don't advertise it in this section.

Make sure that you include pictures and your asking price, as well as if you want people to contact you using our messages system, or by email. If by email, please obfuscate the email address so it doesn't get scraped by email harvester bots.
