  1. I am wondering how the bottom of the bag is sewn
  2. using a overhand knot in each stitch, works well if you are sewing thin leather or if you are sewing multiple layers of leather and drill the holes instead of using a diamond shaped awl to get your saddle stitch slant. I always thought that (overcasting) is when you center the thread to star,t and then bring one end of the thread over the top to the opposite side also do the other thread, and continue as you normally would. Please correct me if I am wrong on this. Good luck
  3. thanks, any info on a cheap stretching jig,or something along them lines?
  4. Hello, I am new to leather work and this forum. I am in the process of buying a couple veg tanned kangaroo hides.I want to make a few wallets, and straight razor strops. I read somewhere that a kangaroo hide has to be pre-stretched in order to make a strop. Could someone tell me how to go about pre-stretching a Roo hide?THanks any info would be helpful.
