With Gratitude To Neel's Saddlery And Harness

Recommended Posts

I would like to express my gratitude to Ryan and his team at Neel's Saddlery and Harness in regards to the above-standard service I have received.

Ryan has shown me that there is still respect, honesty, and fairness in today's world.

If anyone out there in the leather world is looking for a leather sewing machine or the leather accessories, make this man your first call! -- without a doubt the best!

Being from Canada this has to be one of, if not the best experience, I have had with cross border shopping, especially for a big ticket item.

Thanks Again Ryan O Neel

I absolutely concur!! I am the proud owner of a CB3200 and a CB0797 and purchased both from Ryan. He's always been fantastic to work with, even taking a call from me on a Saturday afternoon to help me when I knocked my CB0797 out of time. The man redefines the terms "customer service" and "attention to detail". His dedication to making sure his customers get the right machine for the job AND ensuring it leaves his dock completely set up and sewn off is unbelievable. He's also a pretty funny guy, but that's another story...........

Interesting that Neels are the importer and also sell direct then complain about other people who hold multiple agencies.

I do not doubt their quality of service but I wonder how his resellers feel when he deals direct?

Hello Darren:

I am not sure to what you are referring to in this post. However, we have had some dealers in Australia that had contacted us regarding selling the Cowboy line of sewing machines that also carried a line of machines that were in direct competition with our machinery.

It did raise some concerns with us, as we were concerned that since the competitor's line was, in essence, the same or very similar machines that we were selling, that there would be some troubles later down the road.

The scenario that you are referring to with both retail and wholesale is totally different. We do sell both at the retail and the wholesale level, as do most of the other major suppliers in the leather supply industry do. Weaver leather, Tandy, Cobra, Artisan, and a slew of other suppliers sell both at the retail level and the wholesale level. However, they sell their OWN LINE of products at two different levels of the market. This is common practice in the business and has been for years. All of our dealers are aware that we do this, and we make it public knowledge. If there is an issue where we find ourselves in competition with one of our dealers for a sale, then it is the dealer that gets the sale. No exceptions.

What you are talking about is something that is totally different. It involves carrying TWO DIFFERENT LINES of machines that are essentially very similar. This for us, raises a concern because our line would be in competition with their line. With us, it is one line at two different levels of the market. With the scenario that you are describing, it is two different lines of very similar machines that would be in competition with each other.

Just wanted to provode some clarification on this in case there was a misunderstanding. Have a great day!!!!!

Hi Daren and Ryan, I don't have a clue as to who sells what to who, I only follow my own business ideas, ideals and goals for the future. I am head of Steve's Leather Machines and Cowboy Leather Machines Australia and am proud to be associated with both of you.

Darren and I are a little defensive at the moment as a consequence of some fairly heavy personal and business attacks here in recent weeks..... so pls accept any abrasiveness on our part as being due to that.

I am in daily contact with Darren and have just had communication with Ryan O. Neel of Cowboy Sewing Machines in the States and he has been kind enough to extend us his best wishes for the future. This is important as I see them as the mother company, they enjoy a high reputation both in the States and here in Australia....we not only wish to bask in that reputation but also build on it here too. Best Regards Steve Bonnett 0419 393750
