  1. Have another acquisition, still looking for a leather machine but I think I have upholstery and domestic pretty well covered. Juki LU-562 with reverse. I love the machine and don't mind the smallish bobbin for what I do with it. It was in such beautiful shape I didn't mind paying a little extra for it.
  2. Finally got the 211G-151 to sew. I bought it from a couple that didn't know much about it, they had bought it from a widow. For some reason, the machine was sewing with a needle that had been broken off at the shank (0.2 inches shorter than a standard 135x17 needle and the needle bar was set to work with the broken off needle. It was a little confusing. After sorting this out with the service manual, I was able to try my first French seam.
  3. New member here! Thanks to everyone for all the great information on this forum, it has really helped me get started. I'm already addicted as I've already collected four machines in four weeks to work on boat canvas and upholstery. My machines: -1956 Singer 201-2 -Pfaff 332-260 -Adler 98 industrial zig zag -Singer 211G-151 (haven't gotten this one to sew right yet, my latest acquisition) Looking forward to learning more about this hobby, which I can also use during my work on boat restorations. If anyone knows where to get an instruction or service manual for an Adler 98, please let me know!
