stretch leather

its my first time here , im in puerto rico and my inglish is not to good but will trie. my hooby is motorcycle seat ,i made a seat for a honda the base in f.glass espesial foam the top in 6onz the side in 3onz paint in black .really tide . i let the seats in my car over night and wen i loock this morning it has a lot of slac like the leather grow.any explannation

Your English is better then my Spanish! :) Are you sure that the Leather S t r e t c h e d ? Maybe the foam SHRUNK that could happen if the paint you used to make the seat black leached thru the leather and disolved the foam. (I have seen that happen)

hi scouter i paint the leather before i mounted and the foam is a marine foan is h.density it does not absorbe.i am

widopof, was the leather wet when mounted? Leather can act different with paint then with water. Maybe that is why the leather got 'bigger', or did not get tight.

If dry when mounted you should be able to make it tight. Good luck, GH

YES IT WAS WET WHEN MOUNTED , IF I MOUNTED DRIED WHAT HAPEN WHEN GET WET THE PROBLEM APEAR ABOUT THREE DAYS AFTER MOUNT.AND AFTER A NIGHT IN MY CAR PLUS HALF DAY IN THE SUN INS CAR ALSO

Was this vegetable tanned leather?
